Sign-up fixes
OK Win Register Problems and How to Fix Them
Most OK Win register problems come from four places: the OTP SMS, a number that already has an account, the invite code box, or the password rules. Find the step where sign-up stops, then use the matching fix below. Each one takes a few minutes.
First, find the step where sign-up stops
Registration is a short chain: number, password, optional invite code, OTP, then the account is created. If you know which link broke, you skip a lot of guessing. The basic steps are on our OK Win register guide. This page is only about what goes wrong.
| Where it stops | Most likely cause | Jump to |
|---|---|---|
| Tap Send OTP, nothing arrives | SMS filtering, wrong SIM, weak signal | OTP fixes by carrier |
| Error right after entering number | Account already exists on that number | Number already registered |
| Error when tapping Register | Invite code or password rule | Invite code / Password sections |
| App closes or freezes | Old app build, low storage, WebView | App crashes on sign-up |
OTP not arriving: fixes by carrier and phone
OTP SMS are sent as transactional messages, so full DND usually does not block them. What blocks them more often is the phone itself. Start with the general checks, then look at your network.
- Check the spam folder. Google Messages and many Xiaomi, Realme and Vivo phones move unknown senders into Spam & blocked. Open it and mark the sender as not spam.
- Dual SIM phones: the OTP goes to the number you typed, not the SIM that runs mobile data. Make sure that SIM is active and has signal.
- Jio: Jio is VoLTE-only. On an older phone with VoLTE turned off in settings, SMS can arrive late or not at all. Turn VoLTE on for that SIM.
- Airtel and Vi: if SMS are failing for every app, not just this one, toggle airplane mode for 10 seconds and try once more. A recent recharge expiry can also stop incoming SMS on some plans.
- BSNL: delays are common in weak-coverage areas. Move to a spot with better signal before tapping Resend.
- Recently ported number (MNP): SMS from some senders can be unreliable for a few days after porting. Waiting is the only fix.
- Full inbox on old phones: delete old messages if your SMS storage is full.
Don't spam Resend
Tapping Resend again and again can trigger a temporary limit on your number. Wait a full minute between tries, and stop after three. Come back after some time.
If you want to adjust DND preferences anyway, you can manage them through your operator's app or by calling 1909, but treat that as a last check, not the first.
"Number already registered" on OK Win register
This message means an account already exists on that mobile number. There are three usual reasons.
- You signed up earlier and forgot. Go to OK Win login and use Forgot password with the same number.
- Someone in the family used your number. Ask before you try anything else. One number links to one account.
- The number is recycled. Telecom operators reassign disconnected numbers. If your new SIM came with an old account attached, only OK Win support can sort it out. Contact them from inside the official app.
Do not try to get around it by buying a ready-made account or using someone else's number. Withdrawals are tied to the account holder's details, and a mismatch is a common reason money gets held.
"Invalid invite code" errors
- Extra space at the start or end after pasting. Delete and retype.
- Look-alike characters: the letter O and zero, capital I and small l. Ask the person for the code as plain text, not in an image.
- You pasted the whole link instead of the code. Only the code goes in the box.
- The inviter's account is closed or restricted, so the code no longer works.
- The field was pre-filled from a referral link you didn't mean to use. You can clear it.
The invite code is optional on most versions. If it keeps failing, leave it empty and finish signing up. Just know that it usually cannot be added later. More on how codes work: OK Win invite code.
Password rules rejected
The app often shows a short red line under the password box. Read it, because the rules can change between updates. The common reasons a password fails:
- Too short, or only numbers. Use a mix of letters and numbers.
- Some special characters are not accepted. If @ or # fails, try one without symbols.
- A space slipped in, often from keyboard autocorrect or autofill.
- The confirm box doesn't match exactly. Capital letters count.
- The keyboard is set to Hindi or another script and typed different digits. Switch to English before typing.
Write the new password down somewhere private. A lot of later login trouble starts with a password nobody remembers.
App crashes on the sign-up screen
- 1
Get the latest build
An old APK may not match the current server. Update only from the official source. See APK update issues.
- 2
Free some storage
Below a few hundred MB free, many apps close without warning.
- 3
Update Android System WebView
The sign-up form often runs inside WebView. Update it from the Play Store along with Chrome.
- 4
Clear cache, not data
Settings, Apps, the OK Win app, Storage, Clear cache. Since your account isn't created yet, you lose nothing.
- 5
Turn off battery saver
Aggressive battery modes can kill the app while it waits for the OTP.
- 6
Reinstall as a last step
If it still won't open, uninstall and install fresh. If installing itself fails, read APK not installing.
Nobody needs your OTP to register you
When sign-up fails, "agents" on WhatsApp and Telegram offer to register the account for you. They ask for your OTP. Once they have it, the account and anything you later deposit is under their control. Registration is free and takes two minutes on your own phone. You must be 18 or older, and real-money gaming is restricted in some Indian states, so check your state's rules before you try again.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the OK Win register OTP not coming?
Usually the SMS went to spam, went to the other SIM, or your signal is weak. On Jio, check that VoLTE is on. Wait a minute between resends.
Can I register two accounts on one number?
No. One mobile number links to one account. If it says already registered, use Forgot password instead.
What if my invite code keeps showing invalid?
Check for spaces and look-alike characters. If it still fails, leave the box empty and finish sign-up, since the code is optional on most versions.
Is it safe to let someone register for me?
No. Anyone who asks for your OTP can take over the account. Register yourself on your own phone.
